365 Project, Day 99
Here is my day ninety-nine submission to my 365Project:
While visiting the golf course in Saint John's for lunch this afternoon I snapped this photo of Black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia hirta) outside the clubhouse. I loved how, even though this was just outside the clubhouse, it looked like a they were in a lovely field of flowers!
Fun fact of the day:
Black-eyed susans are known as pioneer plants because it is one of the first plants to grow in areas decimated by fire and other natural disasters.
Read more about Black-eyed Susans at this Fall Wildflowers of New England webpage.
We had lunch this afternoon on the patio overlooking the golf course...it was a lovely sunny afternoon and, fortunately, not quite cold enough for us to have to sit inside :)
