February 9, 2014: Working That Mussel

365 Project, Day 167
Here is my day 167 submission to my 365Project:


This afternoon on a walk at Witty's Lagoon Regional Park we observed a gull busily working to crack a mussel open by dropping it to the ground to crack the shell. It seemed to be quite successful at doing this and it certainly added an entertaining moment to the walk. Although it was chilly it was a beautiful afternoon around the park.
