September 6, 2013: Yellow Brick Road

365 Project, Day 73
Here is my day seventy-three submission to my 365Project:

While wandering around town today I saw this charming little garden with a yellow brick path running through it. The flowers and the beautiful and cute little gardens are one of the things that make Victoria so charming and a wonderful place to live :)

Fun fact of the day:
The origin of the yellow brick road in the novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and movie of the story, The Wizard Of Oz, is disputed with some believing it was derived from a road paved of yellow bricks near Holland, Michigan where L. Frank Baum summered. Other yellow brick roads can be found in Aberdeen, South Dakota; Albany, New York; Rossville, Maryland; Bronxville, New York; Chicago, Illinois; Liberal, Kansas; Sedan, Kansas and Syracuse, New York as well as in Sofia, Bulgaria.
