September 29, 2013: Passionate Drummers

365 Project, Day 93
Here is my day ninety-three submission to my 365Project:

We went to Mont Royal Park in Montreal today to check out the Tam Tams, the huge drumming circles that meet every Sunday in the park in the summer and fall. This is only one of many of the weekend activities we saw in the park including: a music group with a full stand-up bass, Live Action Role Player "Larpers" and juggler, acrobats and tightrope walkers from the Cirque Du Soleil Circus School! I had a great time snapping photos of the people at the huge drum circle - such awesome expressions!

 Fun fact of the day:
The Tam tams have been playing in the park over 20 years now.

For more information on the Tam tams read this Tam-tams du Mont Royal webpage.

Here are some more photos from a lovely day in Montreal:

Looks like nature was trying to take over these bikes!

This evening we had a lovely dinner at O Noir, the restaurant where you eat in complete darkness and the service staff are blind...a very interesting experience! This is the front reception area where you order your meal (mystery drinks and meals are available!) before you are taken in to the dining room.

The walk under an overpass on the way back to the B and B where my parents were staying

In the Metro...subway in motion!
